A cool thing I have handy in the “office” is an espresso machine. This is my favorite coffee recipe.

• about 1/3 mug full of milk
• teaspoon (like the one you eat with) of pure cocoa powder
• fresh ground favorite espresso beans. It’s way better to ground your beans just before you make your coffee if possible.
• teaspoon (like the one you eat with) of sugar

Alright fire up your espresso machine if you’re lucky enough and start by frothing the milk with the cocoa. Just dump the cocoa on top of the milk and let the frothing mix it all up. My espresso machine likes to blast water out of the steam wand at first so I shoot the first bit of hot water/steam into my empty mug and pour it out. This helps warm up the mug too. Then I add the milk and cocoa and do the real thing.

Once the milk is all frothy pour your shot straight into the mug from the machine. Don’t bother with those fancy shot glasses unless you like doing dishes? Now dump a spoon full of sugar in, stir it up, and get wired!

Simple ingredients and tastes great (to me at least).
